Yeah, my feelings too - I don't like the way this thread is turning at some points (posts).
We have a VERY serious situation here and why is it that people want to criticise WHATEVER the police do? Fair enough if they make mistakes but it seems that they have averted a disaster in this case. My cousin is a very senior policeman in the Thames Valley force. He has had a killing workload over the past year, oh and he happens to have a phd, so I guess he just squeezed through the entrance exam.
Something that WOULD be helpful to our police is if our "partners" across the Atlantic could keep their mouths shut about the ongoing security measures being taken, instead of spilling the beans to the press and endangering the operations and the personnel working under cover.
