I stayed in this guesthouse in April last year, and found it quiet, comfortable and relaxing. It's not located in the central part of Delhi, but now that they have metro lines in Delhi, probably it won't be much trouble to you. I paid Rs900, but they may have seasonal prices. I've heard from other guests I met there that it is a very popular place and you should make a reservation.

.......Yes, it is a great place to stay.  Very small and personal.  Avneesh and his wife are excellent hosts too.
A small menu, but very appetizing and the staff are obliging as well.  Well worth it for a few extra rupees.

Good luck! :D

never heard anything but good about this place. I haven't been there, but hopefully will on my next trip. it was featured on a travel show here a while back and looks perfect - small, clean, home like. and the owners do walking tours of delhi just with the guests - how perfect would that be?

let us know how you get on.
just is.

I'm hoping to book in there for February, I emailed them a while ago and they said booking opens in September for February, so it looks like they open their books 5 months in advance.

Good luck.

I had read a bit about them before and it sounded nice but when I phoned they only had one night free during the period I wanted adn the lady I spoke to quoted a price of around 1500rs - are taxes that much these days?

I booked in October for January and we managed to get a room.  It really is a great place.  We also managed to book a room for our return journey six weeks later.

When we were there the rooms were around 1200r.  They had done a bit of painting and renovating so the prices may have gone up.  It really is worth the stay, especially for a nice place to relax when you first arrive.  They will pick you up at the airport and arrange taxi service if you need it.

They are also booked out for early october. This is a tad more expensive but is across the road from Lodhi Gardens.
