Ingredients ::
- 3 tblspn oil
- 1 1/2 tspn chana dal
- 1 1/2 tspn urad dal
- 1 tspn mustard seeds
- 20 fresh curry leaves (I always use dried)
- 2-4 fresh hot green chillies, cut into long slivers
- 200g green cabbage, finely shredded
- 2 medium carrots, coarsely grated
- 3/4 - 1 tspn salt
- 1/2 cup freshly grated coconut

heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium hot.
when hot add chana dal, urad dal and mustard seeds and stir. when the mustard seeds pop add the curry leaves and stir.
add the chillies and stir once.
now add the cabbage and carrots and stir once to mix.
add the salt and mix again.
cover, turn the heat to low and cook for 5-6 minutes, or until cabbage is wilted and just tender.
add the coconut and mix, stir for a minute or two then remove from the heat and serve.
