Here is a link to the on-line collection of South Asian art at the Freer-Sackler Gallery, Washington, DC. The Freer and Sackler Galleries are home to the National Museum of Asian Art, and have good collections of South Indian bronzes, among other objects. The Sackler hosted an outstanding exhibit of Chola bronzes (The Sacred and the Sensuous) a couple of years ago. Their permanent collection of Chola-period bronzes is very good, too.
