Does anyone have experience with China Airlines or Malaysia Airlines? I've found several cheap flights through them, but don't know much about the airlines. Any thoughts?

Ditto, Malaysian are very good, up there with the very best, I also haven't flown Chinese Airways but in the old days they were known as, CAAC short for Chinese Airways Always Crash
I think only Biman and some smaller African Airlines were worse!!
Having said that I'm sure they're much better these days, my Mother and Father in law flew to Thailand with them and are still alive!!

lol. Cyberhippie, you're so encouraging! It reminds me of the Aeroflot review I found: "They're not as bad they used to be! They're usually only running 2 to 4 hours late... And the inflight service is atrocious... But they hardly ever crash anymore!" (paraphrased.)
But, I'm glad to hear they seem to be doing better.
PD: Yep, it's me. I don't know why I'm so wary of putting my real pic up... It's fun to be anonymous, I guess. But I liked this one and had fun playing in photoshop. *grin*
