Well, after a LONG teleconversation (from Italy...) with the customer service of IRCTC, I have discovered the real cause of the problem (maybe...): my credit card (VISA) is NOT enabled to the ICICI Bank Gateway, and I have to ask to my credit card provided this authorization.
I am quite confused... I have called the provider of my credit card, and THEY HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT IS ICICI GATEWAY AND HOW TO ENABLE BY CREDIT CARD TO IT!!!!!
I'm getting insane... I can't believe that everyone must make all this to purchase train tickets online!!!
Does anybody know how to enable a credit card to this bl..dy ICICI gateway and purchase the tickets???
Please help!!!

Gianni where is your first destination??? If you let us know then I can guesstimate if your likely to be able to book in the tourist cell when you arrive!!
As mercurie says the trains do book up but the tourist cell can get you on the tourist quota and in August there aren't a lot of tourist around!! So there's an excellent chance of just booking when you get there!!!
Another idea (apart from Mercuries kind offer) is to contact S.D. Enterprises in London who can supply you with tickets!!
Personally I think using the tourist quota, only the first journey may present you with a problem the rest I'm sure you can book easily whilst in Delhi!!
