LP College Football Poll ? Week 4

  Posted by Chetan , 29 September 2010 · 115 views

Lonely Planet
Alabama had a tough win over an excellent Arkansas team on the road — and dropped. That’s the price you pay, Bama, with finicky Lonely Planet pollsters. Texas hangs onto #16 despite losing by 22 to unranked UCLA at home. As pollster Karla Zimmerman says, ‘My mother would have fewer fumbles if she was a Longhorn’ though Scott Stampfli still has them in his 16. Meanwhile,  Ryan Ver Berkmoes is touting Michigan State, and Adam Skolnick is ‘riding Utah until they lose’ — neither make the 16.

Who did? Here it is (with some guest commentary from Andy Murdock):

1. Ohio State — The edge goes to Ohio State this week ? Arkansas nearly took down Alabama, while Ohio State looked unstoppable.

2. Alabama

3. Boise State — Remaining in the top three until someone proves that they don?t belong there.

4. Oregon

5. Nebraska

6. TCU — Vying for Boise State?s coveted UFA Award (Underrated  Football Awesomeness) award, TCU has arguably the tougher schedule  between the two teams ahead and may yet buck those Broncos.

7. Oklahoma

8. Stanford — Stanford may have the sissiest and most confusing mascot  in the NCAA, but this is the team that?s most likely to take down Oregon  in the Pac-10. (Plus they have Luck on their side).

9. Florida

10. Wisconsin

11. Auburn

12. Utah

13. Arkansas

14. LSU

15. Arizona

16. Texas
