Hoho blogging what's that all about!! I've not been shy in the cyber world when is comes to shooting my mouth off.
Or indeed hobby websites.
Wallah waffle is probably a great description of the stuff that might appear on this blog!!
I sat for a few days and thought "great a blog........ now what?"
I toyed with idea of my first steps in India, which for reasons untold are still fresh within me??
The first beggar, ear man, fortune teller, rickshaw wallah (hey there's that name again) the 23 old lass doing a school collection for the Bangaldesh disaster, cobblers, chai wallahs..............................................!!
Maybe my absolute "fuck ups on arrival" (Author's note : I'm a Scot we use sweary words like adjectives....to bring you all into the groove I'll use a tactic from a great Scottish comedian FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK Fuck.............!!!!)
Ok we can now procede!
Anyway I thought I'd start with something another forum dweller once said "India makes me feel special"
Over the years I can certainly identify with that.
A country/community that welcomes you.
The possesion of a simple pleasant and polite demeanor, reciprocated in kind.
Kindness offered.
Of course there is the "biggie"
Cash makes me feel special too!!!
As a lowly factory worker, I've caught glimpses of many beautiful countries, even lived in a few of them but how many times have "we" been somewhere in Malta, Skeggie, St It Ives, Goa, Himachal Pradesh......................... When we thought "man" I'd love to spend more time here!!
Financialy India allowed me that feeling of choice and freedom, so yeah it made me feel special
It still does.
Now as India becomes a "mainstream" destination, myself and other free sprits see our choices deminished by natural evolution.
Random spots, unhurried and untainted by mass tourism fall by the year.
The free spirits find themselves with fewer spots to cash in their hard earned for some "real India" (gosh did I just say that??) as consumerism kicks in.
The feeling of "one among many" begins to influence experiences!!
So the world turns, I'm willing to give India any number of "last shots" confident in the notion one way or another she will continue to "make me feel special"
