@sakoo, It would help if you introduce yourself and let us know what your research is all about. Are you writing a book?

This reminds me of the Movie Salt and Pepper (Malayalam , Kerala's Language ).
Pretty Incredible movie on its own it talks about the Hero who is an archeologist who finds an adivasi person (tribal person) who knows recipes of forgotten cuisines ....he brings him to the city and keeps him captive and learns about the recipes during this time he is accompanied by a cook .
He receives a call one day from a lady who assumes she is ordering food and the love story takes place ... the conversations are about the best places to eat and what to eat! Below is the title song of the video which takes you through an awesome journey of the cuisines of Kerala ..... the first being the Pai Brother fast food , famous for 36 varieties of Dosas , this one is on MG.Road cochin , then it takes you through the best tody shop in Kumarrakom which serves the best seafood (fish) , rice cakes . Then a glimpse of the Calicut Malabar halwa through to the "Palada Pradham" Paysam prasadham in Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram).
It continues with the wedding food in Kerala , the Rahmathulla hotel famous for Malabar food , hotel paragon Calicut the Buhari hotel famous for Biryani's , the making of jelabi .... with road side stalls serving Chakka (jackfruit) chips (Varrikku Chakka or Ripe Jackfruit chips).Banana chips , Vadakkencherry on National highway after palghat and before trichi which is famous for its banana chips , found all over the small town ! On the Road side , thattu kada , parota , Dosa , Tapioca chips and Rice cakes (Puttu ) , then taking you through the Pathri (Rice Chapathi) which is light and you can have an easy dozen or two ...severed with duck curry , they also show you rice cakes made in bamboo shoots , mulla puttu is what it’s called locally .
