CEO,
In another thread, you wrote that the best way to post photos to GourmetIndia's forums was to send them to the team via email.
Can we also use an image hosting site, like imageshack (or many others) to post photos?

Sure you can but some of these hosting sites have caveats :
free image hosting sites reviewed
All of them allow hotlinking but if the images are not 'hit' for a certain period they may delete them.
I think this may be why Anil's single malt image became unavailable. Though I cant imagine anyone not 'hitting' his bottles for a straight 500 days.

If you have any photos/images to be put up in your post and recipes, please email them to Michelle the web witch at team@gourmetindia.com
Try and keep the size to a max of 640 X 480.
550 horizontal is the ideal size as it stays in the page width.
She likes being called that so add her title in the subject line and she will love you for it.

Taken from my friend's camera and hosted at imageshack. Copy and paste using 'Hotlink for forums (1)' . It works :0
1. Take a picture from your digicam/mobile, load it on your computer.
2. Preferably resize the image so that the horizontal width is not more than 550.This way the forum board does not have to resize itself as in Anil's photos. Hint hint Anil.
3.Click here and select browse. Check the button- "remove size/resolution bar from thumbnail?" Browse and find the image on your computer and click on "host it."
4. In a short while your image will be transferred to imageshack on the web. There will be several options now, right click in "Hotlink for forums (1)", select all and copy that into your post - after/middle/before your text.
Once you get it right, it becomes a routine as it has for many here. You might want to do this the first time when Saucy or I am online also to guide you step wise.

Microsoft photo editor that comes with the Windows OE is one such software.
But as I said this is not essential.
