  1. Things You Should Know before visit to Jaipur-"The Pinkcity" Updated

Jaipur   is the largest city of the Rajasthan in India. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City of India.   Jaipur- the pink city  is a major Jaipur sightseeing destination in Rajasthan India. Hawa Mahal & Jal Mahal are the most popular places of interest amongst other forts and palaces.

Jaipur has been popularized with the name of  Pink City  because of the color of the stone exclusively used for the construction of all the structures. Every building within the walled historic centre is painted a terracotta “pink” colour and there are few exceptions to this uniformly colour scheme.
This colour is so significant to the heritage of the city that it is enforced under local law. Considering the woes and inadequate infrastructure of Jaipur it may appear baffling to visitors as to why there is such a coherent colour scheme running through the city. This guide will detail the history behind the pink of Jaipur.

    History of Pinkcity Jaipur
The historical reason for the uniform colour of central Jaipur lies with the absolute power of the Maharaja  (Sawai Ram Singh)  over his capital and his extreme strategy to impress Prince Albert during his 1876 tour of India.
Prince Albert  spent a mammoth 17 weeks conducting royal duties throughout the Indian subcontinent but he grew tired and lonesome of his official engagements as he was without his dear wife, Victoria.
Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II  first strategy was to ensure Albert would visit Jaipur and to succeeded in this he constructed a lavish concert hall and named it in honour of the prince.
With Prince Albert enticed to Jaipur, the Maharaja set about beautifying his city and this included repainting the entire city. The colour chosen was a  terracotta pink  as this colour historically represents welcoming and hospitality.
      Lifestyle in Jaipur
Jaipur display a cool presentation of Urban lifestyle. In Jaipur the average lifestyle has improved to global standard. Here old forts and havelis are used as a premier hotels.
The Pinkcity of India bustles with its landscape greenery, ultra wide and maintained roads, added international airport, systematic railways, excellent culture ambiance. In one word we can say that  “Lifestyle of Jaipur is enjoyable”  .
Other key factors supporting such a dynamic lifestyle in Jaipur is also due to excellent progress in all other prime domain of lifestyle. Be it fashion, best lifestyle shopping mall, events, scope of education and celebration, the options are endless here without compromising its quality.

    Places to Visit In Jaipur
    Hawa Mahal
Hawa Mahal is made of  Pink sandstone  and is five stories tall. The legend behind Hawa Mahal says that the royalty built the Mahal so that the royal women folk can see the whole city from the Mahal without being observed by commoners.

    Jal Mahal
Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal Jaipur, the Water Palace. This low-rise  symmetrical palace , that once was a shooting lodge for the Maharajah, appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. The Jal Mahal palace is an architectural showcase of the Rajput style of architecture (common in Rajasthan) on a grand scale.

    City Palace
The next spot to be covered is City palace, very near to Hawa Mahal, almost walking distance. It has got  Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal , also it contains a museum. It is right in the center of old city. This is the palace where the royalty still lives, so half part of the palace is unapproachable.

    Jantar Mantar
Jantar Mantar is definitely an astronomical marvel. It was built by  Sawai Jai Singh II , who himself took a keen interest in the movement of sun, moon, and planets. It is the best-preserved observatory.

    Amer Fort
This fort is located 11 kms away from Jaipur and was originally build by  Meena Rulers . The fort is located on top of the hills. Amer Fort is one of the best tourist destinations not just in Jaipur City but the whole of Rajasthan. Amer and the Jaigarh Fort are regarded as a single structure and a subterranean passage connects the two forts.

      Albert Hall Museum
When the foundation stone of Albert Hal l  was laid during the visit of the Prince of Wales, Albert Edward to Jaipur in 1876 it had yet to be determined what use it would be put to. The building is situated in  Ram Niwas Garden outside the city wall opposite New gate There were some suggestions about cultural or educational use or as a town hall.
